Sound familiar? I've been on both sides of this. In my role coordinating material procurement for medical device tooling (think: injection-molded parts with a 48-hour lead time), I've seen more critical failures from apparent "simple" orders than from complex ones.
The conventional wisdom says: plan ahead, order early. But sometimes you can't. Maybe your client changed the spec last minute. Maybe a competitor bid you out of a rush. Covestro makes excellent materials, but even the best polymer needs the right supply chain to back it up. Next time you're in a rush, take 20 minutes to verify the batch data. It could save you thousands.
